LEWISBURG —
Ida Mae Yearick, 87, formerly of Mifflinburg, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at RiverWoods, Lewisburg, where she had resided since 2006.
She was born Dec. 1, 1922, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Ira Kimber and Mabel Louise (Updegraff) Inkrote.
Ida Mae graduated in 1940 from Sunbury High School.
She had been employed at the former Leib's Department Store, Sunbury, and was later manager at the former Brozman's Department Store, Lewisburg, until her retirement.
Ida Mae enjoyed family times, music, dancing and dining at restaurants.
She is survived by two children, one son and daughter-in-law, Roger L. and Sid Yearick, of Cheyenne, Wyo., and one daughter and son-in-law, Christine L. and Kevin Meiser Sr., of Freeburg; six grandchildren, Jason Yearick and wife, Rebecca, Jada Yearick, Malcolm Derk III and wife, Erin, Kevin Meiser Jr., Mike Meiser, and Justin Meiser; three great-grandchildren, Shawn and Christopher Chiles, and Hailey Meiser; one sister, Vivian Jones, Columbia, S.C.; and two generations of nieces and nephews.
Ida Mae was preceded by one granddaughter, Gwendolyn Derk, one niece, Carol Williams, and a special friend, Robert Gravell.
Friends are invited to a graveside funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery, Freeburg.
The George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Mount Pleasant Mills, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
