Pauline Burgess, 90, passed away April 19, 2010. A celebration of life service was held April 22 at Bilbrey Funeral Home. Services were led by her family. Interment was in Linary Cemetery immediately following the services.
Mrs. Burgess was born Jan. 17, 1920, in Lawnville, TN, the daughter of the late William West and Pearl Elizabeth Wyatt.
She was a member of the Lantana Church of Christ and was retired from the Crossville Medical Group. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and being with her family.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth (Judy) Burgess of Manchester; daughters, Ann (Dave) Taylor of Harvest, AL, and Carolyn (Don) Morrow of Cleveland. She loved children and was blessed with seven grandchildren, Mike Burgess, Sharon (J.D.) Rottero, Jay (Tiffany) Taylor, Chris (Tracy) Taylor, Tim (Veronique) Taylor, Craig (Malissa) Morrow and Drew Morrow; and 17 great-grandchildren, Dustin Rottero, Nathan Rottero, Mindy Rottero, Brooke Burgess, Benjamin Taylor, Wyatt Taylor, Harrison Taylor, Abigail Taylor, Austin Taylor, Hudson Taylor, John Thomas Taylor, Nicole Taylor, Sarah Taylor, Emilie Taylor, Josie Morrow, Dawson Morrow, Mallory Pauline Morrow, MacLayne Morrow and Madalyn Morrow. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Iona Wyatt of Kingston; brother, Bob (Jo) Wyatt of Kingston; and sister, Sally Arp of Sweetwater.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Semp D. Burgess; brothers, Albert Wyatt and Bill Wyatt; and sisters, Etta Ladd, Betty Millsaps and Dixie Jean Wyatt.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lantana Cemetery Fund, c/o Milo Webb, 1883 Stanley St., Crossville, TN 38555, or to the charity of your choice.
