At high noon, Monday, November 18, 1901 occurred the marriage of Mr. Heie Johnson to Miss Minnie Lange. The groom is a son of the late Mr. Christian Johnson, whose farm is some 7 1/2 miles east of Raymond, whilst the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lange, well known to our Raymond community, as they reside, but four miles northeast of here. The beautiful ceremony was performed by Rev. A. Zurbonsen in the parlors of his parochial residence. Witnesses to the marriage were John Lange and Annie Kellenberger.
Parents of John Heie Johnson were Christian and Anna (Fanny)(Dierks) Johnson. Parents of Minnie Lange were Frank and Johanna (Uppenbrink) Lange. Family story has that Minnie Lange Johnson died due to complications from childbirth.
