Funeral Services Will Be Held Friday
Delia Eugenia Abraham, 55, died Tuesday morning, September 21, 1937, at 12:55 o'clock at her home, 104 First Avenue, following three months illness with cancer. She was a member of the Swedish Mission Church in Red Oak, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Swedish Mission Church with Rev. V. A. Anderson in charge. Serving as pallbearers will be Reuel Abraham, Paul Rydberg, Elmer Hendrickson, Verner Hart, Raymond Hart, and Vernie Hart. Burial will be in the Essex Cemetery, New Addition, Fifth Row, Lot 8.
Delia Eugenia Hart was born in Page County, May 30, 1882, a daughter of John and Clara Hart. She grew to womanhood on a farm near Essex and was married to Charley Edward Abraham, April 3, 1907, at Essex, Page County, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, and four children, Clifford, Vandelyn, Kenneth, and Gladys Abraham. Two sons and two daughters preceded the mother in death. Six sisters and brothers also survive, Mrs. J. A. Engster, Joseph Hart, and Tennie Hart of Essex, Iowa. Oscar Hart of Shenandoah, Iowa; Mrs. A. J. Erickson, of Wakefield, Nebraska; and Otto Hart living in California. One grandson, William Carl Abraham, also survives.
With the exception of the years 1910 to 1913, when Mrs. Abraham lived in south Dakota, she has lived in Page and Montgomery Counties all her life. She moved from Page County to Montgomery County in 1913, and has lived in Red Oak, Iowa, since 1926.
