"JAMES M. (MATT) HAMILTON - James M. (Matt) Hamilton, 90, resident of Oregon City since 1890, died Sunday evening at the Oregon City hospital. He was born September 7, 1856, in Iowa, and came to Oregon in 1863. He was a member of the Maccabee lodge. Survivors include two sons, Charles L., Dayton, Ore.; William, Oregon City; three daughters, Misses Myrtle and Gertrude Hamilton, Oregon City; and Mrs. Frank E. Andrews, Portland; two grandchildren, Francis H. and Marion Andrews, Portland. Final rites will be held at the Holman, Hankins and Rilance chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dr. Roy W. Achor, officiating. Interment will be made in Mt. View cemetery."
