Heart Attack Fatal To Mrs. Ada Starr

Mrs. Ada Starr, 85, of Poneto Route 1, widow of Frank Starr, died at 7 p.m. Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. John Minnich of Poneto Route 1, following a heart attack.

Mrs. Starr was born Aug. 3, 1874, in Chester Twp. to Phillip and Margaret Donley Shadle. Her marriage to Mr. Starr, whose death occurred in 1936, took place in 1889.

A lifelong resident of Wells County, she was a member of Blanche Chapel.

Surviving, in addition to the daughter, Mrs. Minnich, are four other daughters, Mrs. Stella Murray and Mrs. Howard (Pearl) Habig, both of Bluffton, Mrs. Russell (Bonnie) Carnes of Poneto Route 1 and Mrs. Alpha Grove of Albany; two sons, Sam Starr of Elwood and Phillip Starr of San Diego, Calif.; 22 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were two sons and 14 brothers and sisters.

The body was taken to the Goodwin Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Blanche Chapel Church with Rev. Kenneth Tousley officiating. Burial will be in the McFarren Cemetery.
