Mrs. Wm. Starr Dies At Age 89; Services Friday

Former resident of Poneto Route 1 who had resided recently at the Berne Nursing Home, Mrs. Sam W. (Ada Pearl) Starr, 89, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Clinic Hospital.

Mrs. Starr, who attended the United Methodist Church at Montpelier, was born March 16, 1890 in Wells County to Allen and Elizabeth Amanda Penrod Jamison. Her marriage to Mr. Starr, who is also a resident of the Berne Nursing Home, took place Sept. 2, 1914.

In addition to the husband, she is survived by a son, William Allen Starr of Griffith; a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Harmon of Canton, O., and two grandchildren.

Calling after 2 p.m. today will be at the Walker Funeral Home in Montpelier, where services at 2 p.m. Friday will be in charge of Rev. John Bellante. Burial will be in the McFarren Cemetery near Poneto.
