J.T. Childress, 89, died at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday at his home on Lake street.
Survivors are seven daughters, Mrs. Oscar Mitchell and Mrs. Lawrence Holmes, of Princeton, Mrs. Byrd Guess, of Fredonia, Mrs. R.P. Whittington, of Kuttawa, Mrs. R.L. Erwin, Mrs. R.M. Traylor, and Mrs. G.G. Traylor, Providence; three sons, Rich, of Providence, Spurlin and E.H. Childress, of Princeton; 27 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon in Second Baptist church, with the Rev. J.T. Cunningham and the Rev. J.W. Robison officiating.
Burial will be in Big Hill cemetery.
