When three years of age he moved with his parents to Camp Creek, where he remained up to the time of his marriage to Estella Grayless on May 1st, 1889.

He is survived by his wife, six children, ten grandchildren, and one great grandchild. One child, Clarence, passed away in infancy. Mr. and Mrs. Nesbitt were the parents of the following children, Hazel Berve of Delevan, Wis., Estell Allen of Red Oak, Ia., Arthur of this city, Effie Ritenour of Onslow, Ia., Paul of Beloit, Wis., and Spencer who resides in the family home.

Mr. Nesbitt spent 46 years of his life in the city of Savanna, the first six years of which were spent in the employ of the C. M. and St. P. railway company. For 20 years he was engaged in the hardware business under the firm name of Withhart and Nesbitt and was manager of the Blue Front hardware store for five years. Since that time, he has been retired from active business life, but spent his time caring for his lawn, raising flowers and tending his garden, also assisting in household tasks, and mingling with his neighbors and friend, always glad to lend assistance wherever he could, having a genial smile for everyone, never too busy to show an active interest in his fellow man. Mr. Nesbitt loved everyone, and the city of Savanna has lost an honored citizen, one whose life was above reproach. A host of friends join the family and relatives in mourning his passing. Mr. Nesbitt was a man of fine physique, enjoyed exceptional healthand had often expressed a wish that when his life came to depart this world, that he would pass quickly and his wish was fulfiled. He had been up town in the morning chatting with friends, and was working on his lawn, when he suffered a stroke of paralysis, soon losing consciousness, passing away in that condition, a few hours later. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, having taught the adult bible class in the Sunday school for many years. He was also a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge.
