SERVICES TOMORROW FOR HUGH J BLAKELEY, 66

Funeral services for Hugh Jefferson Blakeley, well-known farmer of the Gracey community, will be conducted at 2 pm tomorrow at Cerulean Baptist Church.
Mr. Blakeley, 66, died at 11:56 last night at Jennie Stuart Hospital. He had been hospitalized since April 11 with a heart condition.
Active in church work, the Trigg County farmer served many years as Sunday School superintendent of Cerulean Baptist Church. Mr. Blakeley was a veteran election officer at the Cerulean precinct.
A native of Trigg County, he was born Oct. 24, 1890, the son of the late Thomas J and Delia Phillips Blakeley. Mr. Blakeley farmed the tract of land his father and grandfather before him had owned and tilled.
Officiating at the services will be his pastor, Dean W. E. Burton, of Bethel College and minister of Cerulean Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Cerulean Cemetery. The body will remain at the residence near Gracey until time for services.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Ellen Stewart Blakeley; three sons, Hugh Malcolm Blakeley, Henderson, George Thomas Blakeley, Sturgis, and John Stewart Blakeley, Trigg County; two sisters, Mrs. Jack Keeney, and Miss Margie Lois Blakeley, both of the city; and 12 grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Stewart, Harold Mize, Jack Mize Jr., Wallace Blakeley, Bennie Woods, and Amos Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be Hermit Mitchell, Pat Davis, Ralph Broadbent, William Blakeley, Earl Orten, and Robert Wilson.
