Allen L Stockstill was the son of Austin Stockstill (b. cir. 1790, died 1861 or before, from Rowan or Rowan County, NC). See Stockstill family pages on internet, including http://home.swbell.net/audiec/. Allen had numerous siblings and children. Spent his life in Missouri Ozarks in Taney, Stone and Christian Counties. He and brothers fought in Civil War, Union side. Widow, Ingaboth Elizabeth (I.E.) May Stockstill, moved to Talent, OR to live with son Charles for her last eight years. She died in Oregon in 1934 and is buried at Ponce Cemetery under name "I.E." with Allen in Stone County, MO. For Ponce Cemetery info/names see www.rootsweb.com/~mostone/cemetery/ponceindx.html. Lee Roy (Cricket) Stockstill, buried at Ponce, is a grandson, killed in July 1925 at age 12 in a hunting accident.
