Frances was the daughter of Charles Franklin and Mary Alice (Smith) Hollis. Mrs. Alderson was a homemaker. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Eureka Springs where she was church clerk for fifteen years. On Dec. 24, 1941, she was united in marriage with Artie Burton Alderson who survives her. She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Jan Alderson of Berryville; one brother, Roy Jackson Hollis of Oxford, Kansas and one grandson, Gary B. Alderson of Berryville. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Earl Hollis; two sisters, Gertrude Boots, and Gladys Mae Wright.
