Artie Burton Alderson was born September 28, 1919 in Rudd, Arkansas to Joseph Faye and Bertha (Grogan) Alderson. Mr. Alderson served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Eureka Springs Freewill Baptist Church. He loved his church family, singing and playing the harmonica.

Mr Alderson is survived by his daughter-in-law, Jan Alderson of Berryville, Ar. one grandson, Gary B. Alderson and wife Krystal of Berryville, Ar. many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

On December 24, 1941 he was united in marriage with Mary Frances Hollis who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, by three sisters, Vennie Snow, Mabel Norris and Helen Alderson and his brother, Frank Thomas Alderson and by his son Raymond Alderson.
