Brothers, James M. Driver and David "Tom" Thomas Driver enlisted on March 13, 1862 in Co H, 31st Mississippi Inf, Confederate States of America. On December 18, 1962, Tom was sent to the hospital the first of two times, during Civil War. The second time, his brother, James, was also hospitalized on the same day, however, he would succomb to his injuries.
After the war, Tom married the lovely, Mary Carnelia Herley. They were blessed with Talley Carnelia, James D. (most likely named for his brother) and George Washington Driver. Sadly, Talley passed and Tom was left to care for their children without her.
In 1878, Tom found and married his second wife, Adwilla W. Pixley. They had Katherine "Kate" C., Thomas Jefferson, and Julius.

On April 8, 1896, Kate married John Moses Scogin in Nacogdoches County, Texas. As newlyweds, they began their marriage by living in Garrison Village. They were were blessed with eight children: M.K. (commonly known as MK), Ally May, Gertrude Marie, Rennie Olive, William Richard, David Jefferson and Lydia "Liddie" Bell Scogin.
After their lovely children were nearly grown, John and Katie unfortunately separated and divorced.
Kate married her second husband, Mack Mewburn.
