Biography: Obee has been a self-employed electrical contractor since 1964. He was currently semi-retired. He has been a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for more than 40 years. He had also worked for Johns-Manville, formerly of Alexandria, Anaconda Wire, formerly of Anderson, and State Plating, formerly of Elwood. He was currently working part-time at Northgate Tru-Valu Hardware of Anderson. In his earlier years, he played semi-pro baseball in the Delco-Remy Commercial league and was one of the few left handed pitchers in the state. Obee had coached in the Shadyside Little League for several years. Obee and his wife have taught round dancing in this area for the past 35 years. They have also taught for the past 10 years in Bonita Springs, Florida. He was a member of the Indiana Square Dance Callers and Round Dancers. He also belonged to Roundalab, which is an international round dance organization. He was a member of Anderson Order of the Eastern Star-#154. He was a former member of the Delaware Masonic Lodge in Muncie, and the Scottish Rite-Valley of Indianapolis. Obee was a member of the Frankton Christian Church. He enjoyed camping, traveling and had been active in the Hoosier Ramblers organization. He was a fan of NBA basketball and the Indiana Pacers. He also enjoyed NASCAR and driver Jeff Gordon.

Funeral Service Time and Day: Funeral services will be at 10 AM on Thursday, May 24, 2007 in the Frankton Christian Church, 206 Church Street, Frankton
Officiating: Rev. Al Covell, Pastor
Interment: Will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery
Visitation: Friends may call at the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria on Wednesday from 4 PM to 8 PM. The family will also receive friends after 9 AM at the church on Thursday prior to the services.
Memorial Contributions: May be made in Obee's memory to Roundalab-International Association of Round Dance Teachers or the Frankton Christian Church through the funeral home.
