Mary Francis Brinegar Tipton, 71, Pitts Road, Ravenna, widow of James Allen "Rabbit" Tipton, passed away Friday, April 9 at St. Joseph Hospital after a long illness. She was born June 6, 1938 in Estill County, a daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Campbell Brinegar. She was retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. She was preceded in death by two sisters Betty Jean Brinegar and Mattie Brinegar Tipton.

Survivors include three daughters, Teresa (Leon) Covey of Ravenna, Judy (Glen) Profitt of Irvine and Shelia (Joe) Fleming of Algonac, Mich. and a son Ricky (Tammy) Tipton of Ravenna; two sisters, Lorraine Barnes of Fairfield Ohio and Ollie Vine Causey of Paint Lick; eleven grandchildren, James Leon Covey, Connie Gail Profitt Hamilton, Christopher Carl Covey, Leonna Richelle Covey, John Michael Covey, Lana Mari Profitt, Teresa Whitney Tipton, Megan Joy Tipton, Robert Douglas Tipton, Joseph Glen Profitt and Stephen Tyler Tipton; eight great-grandchildren, Morgan Presley Hamilton, Lance Allen Moore, Robert H. Tipton, Alyvia and Landan Curtis, William Allen Horn, Brittney and Austin Phillipy.

Service was at 2 p.m Monday at Lewis Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Hall officiating. Burial was at the Old Home Place Cemetery at her home on Pitts Road.

Pallbearers were James, Chris and John Covey, Robert and Stephen Tipton, Joseph Profitt, Jason Flynn, Buddy Horn, Timmy Parker and Darla Sutton.

Honorary pallbearers were Connie Hamilton, Leona Flynn, Lana Profitt, Whitney Horn, Megan Parker and Marissa Tipton.
