Obituary:

Hunter Filbert, postmaster at Holmes, Ridley township for the past eight years, died suddenly of acute indigestion this morning at his home at Holmes road and MacDade Boulevard. He was 47 years old.

Mr. Filbert, who conducts a general store in connection with the postoffice, was stricken with acute indigestion at 5 o'clock this morning and died in less than an hour. He had been bowling with a party of friends last night and was in apparent health.

The deceased, who was born in Reading, had been a residen of Holmes for the past 14 years. He was a member of the Homes Fire Company, the Delaware County Firemen's Association and Philadelphia Lodge, No. 54, I.O.O.M.

Surviving him are his mother, Mrs. Mary Schalter, of Reading; his widow, Mrs. Anna Filbert, and five children, Fredrick, Ervin, Norman, Violet and Charles.

The funeral will be held on Monday afternoon at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, in Norwood.
