Elias Dickey was the son of William and Elizabeth Crowley Dickey, Jr, immigrant ancestors, who came to America prior to 1730, from Ulster, Antrim, Ireland. They brought their three children with them and settled in the westerly part of Londonderry, New Hampshire. Elias was the youngest of the three children: Elizabeth, Samuel and Elias. Elias married Rosanna McDaniel, daughter of James and Susannah McDaniel of Raby, Hillsborough, New Hampshire on 17 Feb 1743 in Raby. Elias and Rosanna had 4 children, William, James, Elias, and Elizabeth. All 4 children were born in New Hampshire and the 3 sons served in the Military of the US. Elias was honored as a Revolutionary Patriot, by the awarding of his grave, with the designation of "Abstract of Graves of Revolutionary Patriot. His DAR #033591.
