Homer C., age 89, of East Sparta, passed away Wednesday morning [SUBMITTER'S NOTE: 18 Nov. 1978] in Aultman Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Monroe County and had been a resident of East Sparta for 74 years. He retired in 1958 from Spartek Inc. and then was Supt. of the East Sparta Water Works for 18 years. He was a former Pike Twp. Trustee and also served on the East Sparta Board of Education. Preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Pearl Schaub, on Nov. 5, 1972. Survived by one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Viola) Inboden of East Sparta, and one grandson. Services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Fort Laurens Cemetery in Bolivar.
