James Hendrickson died at his residence in Noble township at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 1900, of paralysis, aged seventy three years and twenty-eight days. [He was born in Mercer County, Kentucky May 9, 1827, the son of James & Elizabeth (Voyls) Hendrickson] He was buried at Pleasant Grove cemetery Thursday June 7th, by Rev. Samuel D. Hawkins. Deceased had lived his entire life in Noble township. He leaves a widow [Belinda] and five sons and three daughters; [John T., Seth W., Lewis M., James U. and Harvey R. Hendrickson, Mrs. Sarah Jones, Mrs. Mary E. Clayton and Mrs. Melissa Farnsworth.]. D. B. Wilson & Son funeral directors.
