Helen E. Gallagher
Helen Edrie (Cole) Gallagher passed away peacefully on August 10, 2004 at Mother Joseph Care Center at the age of 80 from cancer and Alzheimer's disease. Helen was born August 2, 1924 to Mark Cole and Kate (Ethridge) Cole in Acton, Montana. Helen married Paul Gallagher in Seattle on June 25, 1944. She worked as a Van de Kamp's Girl, and for Kay Paper and the Olympia Brewery. Helen enjoyed traveling, especially to Reno; gardening; and working word cross puzzles. She will be missed by her children, Susan Wise, Teresa McCarthy, and James Gallagher, all of Olympia, Washington; brother, Raymond Cole, of Seattle, Washington; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Paul Gallagher; sister, Opal Robbins; and parents, Mark and Kate Cole. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. at Mills & Mills in Tumwater, Washington.
