[1882] OH--Trumbull & Mahoning Counties History-pg 312--Lists CHRISTIAN BETTS, son of Christian & Elizabeth Betts, was born 13 Mar 1813 in Fayette Cnty PA. His father was a settler of Crawford Cnty PA as early as 1790. ChristianJr was married 8 May 1835 to Eliza Fister, who was born in PA 16 Sep 1815 & had a family of 13 children, of whom 8 are living as follows [children with spouses & birth dates listed]. All reside in Kinsman except MrsWakefield, who resides in AshtabulaCnty. Cyrus, Wealthy [with birth & death dates listed]; 3 others died in infancy. After his marriage MrBetts resided in PA for some years. In Feb 1851 he purchased where he now resides, moving on the place a year after.

CHRISTIAN BATES-84: The funeral of Mr Bates, who passed away Thursday morning [9-23], took place from the ME Church Sunday afternoon [9-26] was attended by a large concourse of neighbors and friends.
