On Sept. 12, 1950, he and Dorothy Jereczek were married at Pine Creek, Wis. They farmed for over 30 years on the family farm before building their new home, adjacent to the family farm, in 1980 to enjoy his retirement years, but still continued to help out his sons on their farms up to the last few years. Ralph had many friends from snowmobiling when he was younger, and enjoyed playing cards for many years. He also enjoyed cutting and splitting wood, having cut 16 cords a year as recently as 2010. He took pride in his apple trees and garden, enjoying giving away the fruits of his labor to family and friends. He was very active in the annual Tripen Fest at Ginny's Supper Club. He endured Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease for many months.
Ralph was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone, belonged to St. Nicholas Society, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Aid, Luxembourg Museum, Polish Museum and the Luxembourg Society. He served as Norton Township officer for 30 years and was a lifetime member of Winona Elks Lodge No. 327.
