Rollingstone, Minn.

Margaret Herber, 93, of Rollingstone, who has been a resident of St. Anne Hospice for the past two years, died Friday (March 22, 1985) at Community Memorial Hospital, Winona.

She was born Feb. 6, 1892, in Minnesota City to Frank and Anna Johnson Feil, and married Alvin Herber Sept. 14, 1915, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Rollingstone. He died June 15, 1977.

She farmed with her husband in Mt. Vernon Township from 1915 until 1950, retiring in 1960. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Rosary Society and the St. Ann Circle of the church, and was a member of the Rollingstone Senior Citizens.

Survivors include three sons, Prosper of Santa Monica, Calif.; Ralph and Harold of Rollingstone; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Maxine) Kotnour of Faribault, Minn.; Mrs. Herbert (Kathleen) Speltz of Rollingstone; and Mrs. Kenneth (Harriet) Duffy of Winona; 34 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Three grandsons, one great-grandson, three brothers and three sisters have died.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Rev. Louis Cook officiating. Burial will be in teh church cemetery.

Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at the church, where a Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. today.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Tom and Paul Kolnour, Kelly Speltz, Patrick Duffy and Duane and Karl Herber.
