OBITUARY - Funeral services were held this afternoon, Monday, September 10, for Mrs. William Sternitske, 69, of Route 1 Berlin at 1:30 o'clock from the Hempel funeral home at Poy Sippi and at 2:00 o'clock from the Borth Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Rev. Vernon Miller officiated with burial made in the Borth cemetery. Pallbearers were Herman Nitzke, Fred Sawallish, Herbert Brey, Frank Meyer, Alfred Erdman and Elmer Jorgensen.
Mrs. Sternitske passed away suddenly at her Home on Friday evening, September 7 at 9:30 o'clock.
She was born Minnie Belter on January 12, 1882, the daughter of Fred and Marie Belter in the town of Dakota in Waushara county. She was united in marriage to William Sternitske on February 16, 1902.
A lifelong member of Waushara County, she belonged to the Borth Evangelical United Brethren church and was a charter member of the Ladies Aid of the church.
She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Otto Sherlin, (Sophie) Hawthorn, Wisconsin. Mrs. Richard Peterson, (Amy) St. Croix Falls, Wis., Mrs. John Putman, (Helen) Route 1, Berlin, and Mrs. Oscar Buhrow, (Sylvia) Route 1, Berlin; four sons Harold, Omro, Willis, Oshkosh, Leslie, Pine River and Benjamin, Berlin; 12 grandchildren; two sisters. Mrs. Bert Raddatz, Madison and Mrs Harry Brenner, Los Angeles, California, three brothers, Fred Belter, Coloma, Henry, Los Angeles, California, and Ed of Auroraville.
