OBIT-1. Maria Louise Belter, born Sanne, was born at Schmiterbrud, County of Soldin, Province of Brandenburg, Prussia, on Jan 25, 1852 and passed away, we believe, blessedly on Oct 7, 1914 at Poysippi, Waushara Co, WI. In 1873 she came with her parents and a sister to this country. In 1874 she married Ferdinand Belter, their marriage producing 10 children; 3 preceded her in death. In 1874 she learned of her illness (cancer of the liver) she had to withstand unbearable pain, but she bore this patiently. During her suffering she said: "The Lord is always a light on my Path." She leaves behind, 3 sons, 4 daughters, 14 Grandsons, relatives and many friends. May the Lord aid them in seeing each other again in Heaven. She chose her funeral text from 2nd Corinthians, 5:1. "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." (King James) She reached the age of 62 years, 8 months, and 12 days.
