H. Keith Landis, son of Guy L. and Leta Smith Landis, was born January 15, 1911 at Morrowville, Kansas, and died April 6, 2000 at the Belleville Health Care Center, Belleville, Kansas, at the age of 89 years.

He moved with his parents to the Haddam community where he attended schools and graduated from Haddam High School in 1930. He taught country school one year.

He was united in marriage to Bernice Schroeder on March 24, 1940. They farmed until 1976, when he retired and moved to Haddam, Kansas. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Haddam, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parent, a brother, Victor Landis, and a sister, Ida Mae Bellinger.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Landis of Haddam, Kansas, a brother, Elson Landis of Courtland, Kansas, and two sisters, Retha Lakey of Imperial, Nebraska, and LaNae Miller of Cobble Hill, British Columbia, Canada.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2000 at the United Methodist Church, Haddam, Kansas, with Rev. Lyle Lewis officiating. Interment was made in Haddam Cemetery, Haddam, Kansas.
