She was born Jan. 1, 1922 at Haddam, the daughter of Guy and Leta Smith Landis. A Haddam resident much of her life, she had also lived in Syracuse. She taught for two years after graduating from high school. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Haddam United Methodist Church.
On Sept. 23, 1945, she married Charles Bellinger. He died Sept. 7, 1992.
Survivors include: two sons, Bruce, Syracuse, and Todd, Atwood; a daughter, Charla May Dawson, Atwood; two brothers, Keith Landis, Haddam, and Elsom "Spark" Landis, Courtland; and two sister, LeNae Miller, Cobble Hill, British Columbia, Canada and Retha Lakey, Imperial, Neb.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Landis; and a grandson.
