Death of J. M. Buckley.
We regret to chronicle the unexpected death of this most excellent citizen of Jackson, at McKinneyville, Sharkey county, on Saturday last, from an acute attack of paralysis. He was on his return home after a business trip to that county. Mr. Buckley came to Jackson several years ago, and, until the past year, was chief clerk in the Auditor's office - a position he was unable to hold on account of failing health. He was one of the most accomplished accountants in the State, and one of the most amiable and loveable of men. His family has the profound sympathy of the community.
The Clarion, Jackson, MS, January 9, 1884.
