They lived in Bingham Canyon, Utah, for a while before returning to Fremont County. In 1948 they moved to Coeur d'Alene, Wallace then Mullen, where Dale was working in the mines then as a Fish and Game officer. In 1951 they moved to Malad and in 1958 moved back to St. Anthony where he continued work for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. In 1972 they moved to Forestville, Calif. They moved back to Idaho and Betty died in St. Anthony on Apr. 19, 2005.

Dale enjoyed the outdoors, especially taking rides through Yellowstone Park and fishing. He also learned to oil paint in California, and his family will always treasure his paintings.

He is survived by his children Becky (Terry) Clements of St. Anthony, Judy (Tim) Cebulla and Donna Barney, both of Medford, Ore., and Dan (Marie) Barney of Sandpoint; nine grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren, and five greatgreat grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sons Bill and Dick, a daughter, Starr Ann, three brothers and two sisters.
