Born April 16, 1919, in Carrollton to the Rev. William and Gladys Mitchell Summers, she married Lawrence E. Andereck. He preceded her in death. She later married Elmer P. Merritt on Aug. 7, 1955, in Los Angeles. He also preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are one son, Bill Andereck of Havana; one daughter, Wilva (and John) Benedict of East Peoria; one sister, Betty (and Leo) Scott of Medora; two brothers, Glenn (and Ruth Ann) Summers of Patoka and Floyd (and Frances) Summers of Jacksonville; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a beautician for many years.
She attended Christian Assembly Church for many years.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
