Loren Otis Cushing, the son of Louis and Myron Edgar Cusing was born May 13, 1891 near Edgar, Nebr. and passed away August 4, 1972, at the Nuchkolls Co, Hospital. He spent most of his life in the Edgar and Fairfield communities. In 1913 he was united in marriage to Georgia Ethyle Trobough. To this union one daughter Audrey Lorena was born but passed away in infancy. Mr. Cushing was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church, Fairfield Masonic Lodge No. 84 A.F. &A.M. Fairfield and Chapter No. 214 Order of the Eastern Star, Fairfield. He is survived by one sister, Doris Hart of Burchard, one brother Clare of Nebr. City, a number of nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Cushing were held Monday, afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Community Presbyterian Church in Fairfield and conducted by Rev. Charies Carter of Edgar Church of the Plains. Mrs. Russell Brodrick provided the music for the service playing "In the Garden and "How Great Thou Art." Pallbearers were: Russel Brodick, Lowell Woods, Melvin Hoyt, Aubrey Fowler, Mervin woods, James Hoyt. Interment was in the Fairfield Cemetery with McLaughlins Funeral Home in Fairfield in charge.
