Abner Angell is the son of Revolutionary War hero, Colonel Israel Angell of the 2nd Rhode Island regiment and author of,"Diary of Colonel Israel Angell" a collection of his diary entries during the war from 1777 to 1781 including the winter at Valley Forge.
