Beatrice Shelton Wilborn, 83, of 1107 Paradise Road, Alton died March 30, 2010 at Halifax Regional Hospital.

She was born May 2, 1926 in Halifax County the daughter of the late Lewis Irving Shelton and the late Anna Coates Shelton and was married to the late Floyd Lee Wilborn Sr. Mrs. Wilborn was a member of Second Baptist Church in South Boston and was a retired textile worker of Halifax Cotton Mill.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Wilborn Reagan and husband, Tincy, of Alton and Nancy Lee Wilborn Long and husband, Bernice, of South Boston; three sisters, Eunice Estes of South Boston, Stella White of Morganton, N.C. and Inez Kramer of Ellabell, Ga.; her grandchildren, Jonna Blanks, Greg Long, Tracy Barksdale, Joey Long, Stephanie Waller and Scottie Clowdis; her great-grandchildren, Matthew Barksdale, Amanda Barksdale, Christopher long, Justin Long, Josh Long, Emily Waller, Dylan Waller, Lucas Clowdis and Anna Clowdis; and one great-great-grandchild, Kaylee Barksdale.

In addition to her parents and husband, one son, Floyd Lee Wilborn Jr.; two brothers, C.D. Shelton and Warren Shelton; and one sister, Hope Estes, also preceded Mrs. Wilborn in death.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 1, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Davis officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home of Tincy and Mary Ann Reagan, 1107 Paradise Road.
