Clyde S. Goodpaster, 68, Lakeview Apartments, Rushville, Ind., died at 11:55 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 1993 in the Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born Sept. 22, 1924, in Orange County, ind., the son of Fred and Lillian Harper Goodpaster. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a retired operator of heavy construction equipment. He was a 50-year member of the Greensburg Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include five sisters, Martha Norris, Rushville, Jane Briggs, Jeanette Blodgett and Janet Baltus, all of Greensburg, and Maybelle West, Tuscon, Ariz.; one son Dwight David Clerk, Brazil, Ind.; a daughter, Lana Kaye Morel, Brazil, Ind., and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

The services will be 10 a.m. Monday, at the Todd Funeral Home, Rushville, with the Rev. John Sargent officiating.

Burial will be 10 a.m.Monday, at the Todd Funeral Home, Rushville, with the Rev. John Sargent officiating.

Burial will be in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He is survived by five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruby F. Zapfe and Patricia M. Goodpaster and two brothers, Harry E. Goodpaster and Eugene L. Goodpaster. The correct spelling of his sister's name is Marybelle West, Tucson, Ariz.
