30 Dec 1966: George M. Donten, 731 Willow St., died early this morning at his home. He was 83. Born in Schuylkill County, he was a son of the, late Franklin and Sara Kreiser Donten. He was a retired employee of the Reading Railroad and a member of the First Evangelical Congregational Church, the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and the Perseverance Fire Company. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Matilda Miller Donten; 10 children: Mrs. Carrie Behney, Nora, wife of Clair Miller; Edna, wife of Russell Yeagley; Lillian, wife of John Manz; Herbert Donten and Florence, wife of Joseph Manz, all of Lebanon; Irene, wife of Ernest Armstrong Jr., Gloucester, N.J.; Marguerite, wife of James Ditzler, and Mary, wife of Winfield Zink, both of Manheim RD 2, and Miss Sarah Donten, at home; 30 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and one grteat-great-grandchild.
