Willard Henry Norton was born to Ernest Merrill and Vida Ella Lakeman Norton, of Saugus, Massachusetts and formerly Jonesport, Maine. Willard was the youngest of two sons born to Ernest and Vida. On 18 Oct 1940, Willard married Esther Mae Foster, daughter of Ernest Ellmore and Leneda Gladys Fowle Foster. Together they had two daughters, Esther Lee and Wendy Norton. Willard was an athlete, Vols football center at Tennessee State, baseball pitcher (Boston Braves B, Red Sox A), fisherman, hunter, and avid golfer. A loving husband, father and provider. RIP Daddy you were my first super hero!
