Sophia Andrews was the daughter of Aaron and Mary (Ford) Andrews of Gloucester, Essex Co, Massachusetts and moved with the family to West Topsham, Orange Co, Vermont by 1810. Her siblings were: Mary "Molley" Gilbert (m. Jonathan Sanborn), Anna (died young), Aaron (died young), William (died young), Harriet (m. Henry Manning), John (m. Hannah Sanborn), and Aaron. Sophia never married and owned property in her own name in Chelsea, which she sold to her nephew, George Bagley. She is buried next to her sister, Sarah "Sally" Andrews Bagley in the Bagley plot at the Old West Topsham Cemetery.
