Miss Blanche Hart died at the home of her parents, Samuel and Lavina Hart, Hickory, last night at 10 o’clock, aged twenty-seven years. Miss Hart had been seriously ill for the past ten weeks with stomach trouble, and although everything known to medical science had been done in her behalf she finally sank peacefully to rest. The deceased was one of the best known and beloved women of the community, and although her death had not been unexpected, when the word was given out that she had gone to her reward it caused a shock to those who knew her. She was a member of the Hickory United Presbyterian congregation, and had taken an active part in church work since her girlhood days. Besides her parents she is survived by one brother.
