Mrs. Lavina Hart Dies at Midway in 80th Year
Mrs. Lavina Hart, widow of Samuel Hart, died early this morning at the home of relatives in Midway. Mrs. Hart for the past three years had made her home with her son and only child, Ernest Hart, of Houston. Some months since she went to Midway to visit friends and was taken sick there. She never recovered sufficiently to be taken home and died there at the time above given. She was in the 80th year of her age.
Mrs. Hart’s maiden name was Acheson. Her husband, Samuel Hart, who for years lived in Canonsburg, and was a brother of the late Captain David Hart, who died in 1907. Mrs. Hart was a member of the Hickory United Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one brother, Matthew Reed Acheson, of Montebello, California.
The funeral services will be held in the Hickory United Presbyterian Church on Monday at 2 o’clock. The interment will be in the cemetery near the church. The services will be conducted by the Rev.
