Mrs. Lulu Kaltofen, 81, of Wheaton, formerly of Aurora, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2000 at Parkway Health Care Center in Wheaton. She was born on August 12, 1919 in Elburn, the daughter of the late Oliver A. and Mary (Hughes) Halsey.
Survivors include her son, Alvin J. (Ann) Kaltofen of Wheaton; one daughter, Mary R. (Robert) Bropernick of Manitowish Waters, WI; six grandchildren, Kelley (Frank) DiLeonardi, Steven Kaltofen, Michael (Karin) Kaltofen, Carrie (Ernest) Friel, Tracy Dunn and R. Charles Bropernick; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Zella Halsey and several nieces and nephews.
Lulu was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Alvin Jacob Kaltofen.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2000 at 10 a.m. from River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia with Fr. William R. Burden officiating.
