Francis M. McCollum, son of Enos and Anna McCollum was born Nov. 20 1978 at Iconium, Missoui and passed away Jun 11, 1971 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Concodia, Ks. at the age of 93 and a half years. He received most of his schooling in Missouri where he was raised till moving to Kansas in 1911. He was a farmer in Cloud and Clay County's till retired in 1956 and moving to Vining, Ks. where he made his permanent home.
He was united in marriage to Rosa Lee Green in 1900 and precedes him in death, in April of 1922. To them were born 10 children: Enos, Anna now Mrs. Anna Trybom, Sarah, now Mrs. Charlie Elliot, Henry, Art, Stella, now Mrs. Thurman Parker, Iva Jane Cottam, Ray, Alta now Mrs. Henry Nutsch, and Frankie Lee.
Enos, Iva Jane and Frankie Lee precede him in death.
He was again united in marriage to Vivian Gordon on June 23, 1930. To them was born 4 children: Patricia, now Mrs. Arlo Harris, Marion, Delores now Mrs. Richard Kahrs, and Leland.
He also has 46 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.
He was greatly loved by his family, friends, and neighbors.
