Born in Malchow, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany. She came to America (Wiedeville, Texas) in about 1886 with her mother, Elisabeth (Engel) Mussyal, her older sister, Louise, and her younger brother, Gus. She married Rudolph Roesler on January 1, 1891 in Immanual Lutheran Church, Wiedeville, Washington Co., Texas. In the Fall of 1906, the family moved to Needville, Texas.
