In the following obituary the last name "Breland" is consistently misspelled as "Brealand". For the sake of accuracy I've changed the last name to the correct spelling.

Beason Pat (Breland), 63, a resident of Coleman Road, Gulfport, died about 4:30 p.m. Saturday at his home. A native of Neely, Miss., he had lived in Long Beach and Gulfport for the past 10 years. He had retired last year from Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, and had worked for 20 years at the Carbide Chemical Co. om Texas City, Tex. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Theo Nelson Breland of Gulfport; six sons, Ralph E. (Breland) and Gerald Lee (Breland) of Hitchcock, Tex., B. Pat (Breland) Jr. and Ricky M. Breland of Texas City, Tex., Jimmy Dale (Breland) of Tyler, Tex., and Jack (Breland) of Ft. Bliss, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Maude Munn of Tyler, Tex., Mrs. Betty Smith of Mesquite, Tex., and Mrs. Edith Fern Roach of Ft. Scott, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Loranell Braun of Trenton, Mich., and Mrs. Florabelle Byrd of Neely, Miss., one brother, John M. (Breland) of Chickasaw, Ala., and 20 grandchildren. Friends may call at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home on Highway 49, North, Gulfport, after 6 p.m. Sunday. The (funeral) will be Monday at 2 p.m. from the First Baptist Church of Long Beach. the body will lie in state from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in Biloxi Cemetery."
