Walter Vander Wilt passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning at the home of this daughter, Mrs. Jerry Dykstra, where he had been making his home for the past ten years. He died at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 12 days.

On October 10, 1900 Mr. Vander Wilt was united in marriage to Minnie Slothouber, who preceded him in death on January 2, 1943.

To this union were born the following children: Kathryn, Mrs. Jerry Dykstra; Gerrit Amelius Vander Wilt; both of Sioux Center and Anthony Vander Wilt of Orange City and Albert Vander Wilt of Milford.

He is further survived by 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. William Bomgaars and two sister preceded him as well as four brothers.

Mrs. Vander Wilt was well known in this community and his sudden passing is mourned by a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 2, at the Jerry Dykstra home and at the Central Reformed church with Rev. F. B. Mansen officiating. Burial was in the Middleburg Cemetery. Pall bearers were Gerrit Amelius Vander Wilt, Anthony Vander Wilt, Albert Vander Wilt, Jerry Dykstra, James Boogard and Virgil Dykstra.
