Michael Pohlod, 92, Dies at Hospital Here
Michael Pohlod, Sr., 92, Montana resident for more than 56 years, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Born July 15, 1860, Pohlad came to Montana in 1896 to begin ranching in the Highwood mountains. He retired some time ago and took up residence in this city.
Surviving are ten children: Michael, Jr., Moscow, Idaho; Mrs. Stewart Galbraith and Verna Pohlod, both of Spokane; Mrs. George Ferrow, White Bear, Minn.; Lucille, Charles and John Pohlod, all of Helena; and Mrs. Walter Fey, Mrs. M. A. Just, and A. E. Pohlod, all of Great Falls; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
