Ruth Elton Draper, 89, passed away Monday, March 15, 2010. She was born August 5, 1920 in Mammoth, Utah to Samuel F. and Lily DuBois Elton. She married Burke Jay Draper May 3, 1937 and later solemnized their marriage in the Manti LDS Temple.

Ruth was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. She served an LDS mission in San Bernardino, California. She loved to serve others. No one left her home without being fed a meal or leaving with a loaf of bread or a pan of rolls. Nearly everyone in the valley has been the recipient of her bread and rolls. She enjoyed reading, playing games with her family and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by one sister, Madelyn Sullivan, Arizona; 6 children, Elton (Rose) Draper, Genola, Michael Draper, Eureka, Bryan (Carol) Draper, Genola, Lily (Rodger) Kirkham, Ferron, Stephen (Jane Ann) Draper, Delta, Mark (Stacey) Draper, Delta. She has 23 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Burke, 6 brothers, 5 sisters and a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Draper.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 20th at 11:00 am at the Genola LDS Church, Center and Main. Friends may call at the Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, on Friday from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Burial, Santaquin Cemetery.
