John Peder named after his grandfathers,he was the son of Jørgen(John)and Aavedt(Christina) Johnson. He married Ingeborg Amelia Holsteinson and they had six children.
Oldest child Tina Georgina was born 17th May, 1888 in Menomonie, Wisconsin.

Menomonie.---John P. Johnson, 80, died Nov. 23, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Peterson at Ridgeland. Funeral services will be held Monday at the Pine Creek Church with the Rev. Engel Olson officiating.
Mr. Johnson was born in the town of Ashippen, Dodge County, Jan. 10, 1859. He is survived by six children; Mrs. Carleton Richardson of Toronto, Canada; Mrs. Wm. Sloan, Mineapolis; Mrs. Paul A. McGilton, Los Angles, Cal.; Mrs. Peter Amundson, Dallas, Wis.; Carl of Eau Claire and Mrs. Robert Peterson, Ridgeland.

The sponsors were: Peder Andersen (his grandfather), Ole Pedersen, Isak Pederen, Karen Gurine Olsdatter and Guri Nielsdatter. The congregation was St. Olaf at Toland, Ashippun.
