He had 7 brothers, George, Harold, Neil, Leonard, John, Cyril, and Kenneth; and 4 sisters, Evelyn (Mincey), Marion (Fleming), Eunice (Manning), and Nina Scott. On June 10, 1939, in Chateaugay, NY, he married Bernice Wood and had 3 sons, Kenneth, Richard, and Peter; and 2 daughters, Helen (Curtis) and Nancy (Manley).
