Mrs. Janie Jessie Edwards, the daughter of Lee Ander Jessie and Mary Mercer Jessie, was born Thursday, September 10, 1936 in Metcalfe County and departed this life on Tuesday February 17, 2004 in Green County at her residence. She was 67 years,
5 months and 7 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church. She was a former machine operator at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY
She united in marriage on March 7, 1953 to Demmon Edwards, who preceded her in death on December 21, 1996.
Survivors includes two daughters: Frances Edwards and Paula Bishop both of Greensburg: A step-daughter: Earnestine Edwards Jessie of Greensburg; two grandchildren: Orry Bishop, Stephen Lewis Bishop and wife Christina all of Greensburg: a great grandchild: Madison Noelle Bishop: two sisters: Pauline Hiser of Greensburg and Pearl Tarter of Louisville; a son-in-law Bob Brumm of Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends survive.
